The major event in the anniversary of Sao Paulo City.

Implemented in January 2009, the first edition of the Sao Paulo Bike Tour exceeded expectations, adding over 60 thousand participants to the other editions of the World Bike Tour; Sao Paulo will live for the second year the emotions of the Bike tour.

In jointly organization with the Governo Federal - Secretaria Nacional de Politicas sobre Drogas, the Government of Sao Paulo and the Prefeitura of Sao Paulo, is renewed the joint efforts in raising consciousness among the  citizens to increase the bicycle use, the practice of sports and especially the adoption of healthy lifestyles without the use of  psychotropic substances.

This will happen on 25th January, 2010 in the second edition of the Bike Tour Sao Paulo, when it also marks the 456th anniversary of the city. Having 6,000 participants that will ride their bicycle for a better quality of life, where the element of social inclusion will have a predominant place with the presence of 80 visually impaired and disabled people.

After making the registration for the amount of $180, the organization offers to all the participants the necessary equipment for the ride, including the bike and helmet, in addition to the racing number, backpack, t-shirt, medal and a certificate of participation, which could take home at the end of the ride.

The participants will travel approximately 9 kilometers through an itinerary departing from the Bridge Octavio Frias de Oliveira, following the Marginal Pinheiros, Praça Archpriest of Anselmo de Oliveira, Puente da Cidade Universitaria, Rua Alvarenga Peixoto Avenue, ending at the finish placed on the Rua Prof. Mello Morais, in front of the door 14 of the "velodromo" at the University of Sao Paulo.
The organization of the event is supported for various companies and organizations, including: Bradesco, EDP, Sabesp, Galp, Portugal, Tourism, Shopping Morumbi, Caloi, Sheraton, WTC Rede Globo and Brazil Economico.

The Bike Tour Sao Paulo, project that will mark the anniversary of the city of Sao Paulo, is proposed as an important event of social mobilization that supports the practice of sports, in the drug prevention and the protection of the environment by calling for the use of bicycles as means of clean transportation.
