Bicycles against strokes

At 41, Emanuel Santos had to fight the disease and its devastating consequences. It was necessary to learn to live again. He regained his speech, started walking, writing and reading all over again. Emanuel has overcome every obstacle that illness present! His perseverance helped him win.

Now after almost a year, Emanuel start a new project. From October 29 he will travel around the country from north to south by bike. He wants to share with patients admitted to hospitals around the country, who were also victims of a stroke, that they too can beat the disease.

Emanuel also seeks to show that life must be lived consciously, avoiding excesses. Physical exercise, reducing alcohol and tobacco are some of the tips that he wants to share in first person.

The journey will begins at the Hospital of Vila Nova de Gaia.
